LINCOLN – Tony Aldrete smacked a two-run single in the sixth inning and later scored on a wild pitch to rally Mattanawcook Academy to a 5-3 high school baseball victory over Lee Academy on Thursday.

Jared Tash earned the win, pitching a seven-hitter for the Lynx.

Charle Worster had two singles for the Pandas.

Dexter 12, Foxcroft 2

At Foxcroft, Travis Carr had a home run and a single to lead Dexter to the win.

Dexter committed one error and racked up 11 hits to overpower Foxcroft. Brock Kimball added a double and single.

For Foxcroft, Brock Hartford had a double and two singles.

At Millinocket, pitcher Mike Perry went the distance, struck out eight and walked three to help pick up the win for the Riots.

Peter Munn slammed three singles as Jeremy Poulin knocked a double and single for Orono. David Means and Kyle Bishop each contributed two singles.

Steve Osborne ripped a two-run single to lead Stearns. Darrin Daniels added two singles.

Penobscot Valley 9, Schenck 5

At East Millinocket, Matt Menard tripled, doubled, and singled to help lead Penobscot Valley of Howland to the victory.

Steve Cummings doubled and singled, and Steve Hallett added two singles for the Howlers. Jason Savage pitched a six-hitter, struck out seven, and walked two.

Darren Stanley and Joe Brown each singled twice for the Wolverines.

At Hampden, Ben Preston doubled home Chris Knickerbocker and Mike McInnis in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Broncos the victory.

Preston rapped two doubles on the day and Knickerbocker smacked two singles to lead Hampden Academy.

Mike Kane, Bruce Morneault, and J.R. Thompson all hit home runs to pace Brewer.

Wisdom, Limestone split

At St. Agatha, the Pioneers of St. Agatha and the Eagles combined to hit nine home runs in a doubleheader split. Wisdom won the opener 4-3 and Limestone took the nightcap 8-5.

In game one, Chad Bouchard and Matt Deschaine hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the seventh as Wisdom rallied to win. Pinch hitter Bouchard, followed a one-out single by Nate Deschaine with a two-run homer. Matt, Nate’s brother, ended the game with a solo shot.

In game two, Josh Dillon and Ethan Bagley both jacked two-run home runs for the Eagles.

Eric Soucy, Nate Deschaine and Chad Bouchard all had solo home runs for the Pioneers.

Crowley helped his own cause with a single, a double and two RBIs. for the Royals. Clark Mills added two singles and two RBIs.

James Robinson had two doubles and two RBIs, and Josh Knowlton slammed a two-run homer.

Gabe Perrow doubled for the lone Bangor Christian hit.

At Fort Kent, Steve Ayotte pitched a five-hitter and drove in a run with two singles to lead the visiting Owls to victory in a rescheduled home-away-from-home game.

C.J. Theriault had two singles and two RBIs for Madawaska. Eric Gendreau and Ryan Cyr each singled twice.

A.J. Slavinsky doubled and pitched a complete game for the Warriors.

At Van Buren, pitcher Nathan Marquis fanned 10 batters and spun a three-hitter to collect a win for the Crusaders.

Hank Sirois knocked two singles as Mike Sirois and Ben LaPlante easmacked an RBI double for the winners.

Wade Willette blasted a three-run home run and a single to pace Washburn.

Wood ripped a two-run home run in the sixth inning for the Wildcats. McGlinn rapped an RBI single and Chris Michaud slammed a double.

Jan Schramke smashed a solo homer for the Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook.

Mike Harris slammed a three-run home run and Larry Mitchell rapped two singles for Penquis.

At Machias Wednesday, Andrew Feeney hit a three-run homer in the third inning and pitched a five-hitter to lead the Bulldogs.

Eric Buck singled in two runs and Seth Kilton singled twice and had one RBI for the Bulldogs.

Jason Redding hit a two-run double to pace the Blue Devils.

Ashland, Hodgdon split

At Hodgdon Wednesday, Adam Carter’s run-scoring double and Aaron Henderson’s RBI single keyed a five-run, second-inning rally that helped Hodgdon win the nightcap 8-6 and salvage a split of the doubleheader. Ashland won the opener 11-3.

Carter added an RBI triple in the seventh and winning pitcher Henderson had three base hits. Jeremy Ireland pitched a perfect seventh inning for the save.

Aaron Bennett’s two singles and RBI and Lee Bennett’s double led Ashland.

In the opener, Ashland parlayed Bennett’s single, four errors, and four walks into seven runs, erasing a 2-0 deficit.

Charles Robinson had two singles and two RBIs for the winners, and Darren Belskis had a two-run double. Tim Tardie went the distance, striking out six and walking none.

Matt Allen tripled and Adam Carter doubled for Hodgdon.
