A benefit concert will be held at Mount Desert Island High School July 19 for Micheal MacCulloch to help defray the expenses of his treatment at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. MacCulloch was paralyzed on his right side after complications during brain surgery.

Two bands from the Hancock County area, Medicine Head and Oliver Brighton, are sponsoring the event in conjunction with Blueroom Productions, Cadillac Mountain Sports, and Acadia Corp.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the concert begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance, $8 at the door. They are available at Cadillac Mountain Sports (288-4532), Acadia Shop (288-5600), Video Video (288-3545) and Blueroom Productions (884-3036).
