OLD TOWN — Amanda Smith, 16, of Bangor was named a member of the Gauvin-Fowler-Tupper-Stairs Ladies Auxiliary #3381 of Old Town at the group’s July meeting. She is the group’s youngest member.

Other young women who would like to be involved with the organization’s patriotic activities and community service are encouraged to call Katie Clark at 827-6272.

To be eligible, potential members must have a father, grandfather or brother who served overseas during a time of war.

The auxiliary is associated with the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
