This week’s guest in the 32nd annual Football Forecast is Chris DeBeck, a sports clerk for the Bangor Daily News.

DeBeck has been a reporter for the Houlton Pioneer Times and the Rockland Courier-Gazette as well as a part-time reporter for the NEWS.

He graduated from Brewer High School in 1990 and the University of Maine in 1994.

DeBeck, the son of Gail and Manley DeBeck Jr., is single and lives in Brewer.

Last week’s guest, Mike Aube of Bangor, went 16-4 to tie two-time defending champion Kevin Hewes for the lead among guest predicters.

The staff members also had a good week ranging from a high of 18-2 by Pete Warner, Dave Barber, and Larry Mahoney to the “low” of 16-4.

Warner continues to lead Barber by a game after six weeks of the 10-week Forecast season, but only three games separate the top five staffers.
