BELFAST — The Belfast farmers market is finishing its 17th season by launching a new venture. Starting Saturday, Nov. 8, the market will be held indoors for the winter season.
Buzz and Susan Smedley, owners of Belfast Agway, have donated the use of their retail greenhouse on Route 1 in East Belfast. A grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held on Nov. 15.
Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday between Nov. 8 and Dec. 27. The market will close in January and reopen for business between Jan. 31 and March 28.
