In the Nov. 19 Bangor Daily News we were informed of two news stories.
In the first story, we were told that in 1962 military planners at the Pentagon proposed to “manufacture evidence” to prove that Fidel Castro was to blame if John Glenn’s space flight failed.
We were told, in the second story, that the CIA and FBI have determined there is no proof that terrorism or a U.S. military accident brought down TWA flight 800.
Of course, this is a determination we are all going to believe, because neither our government nor our military leaders would ever even consider telling the U.S. public a lie! Diana Morton Oakfield
