BANGOR — Area residents will now be able to collect trading cards featuring members of the Bangor Fire Department. Starting Dec. 1, the fire department will introduce the cards. Police departments around the state have used the cards as an educational tool, but this is the first fire department in the state to use these cards.
Cards will feature firefighters from each of the four crews, as well as the fire engines they use. Cards will be given out at local schools during fire safety presentations and at the station.
The cards are being sponsored by McDonald’s and Wal-Mart. For more information call Lt. Pete Metcalf at 942-6335.
