BANGOR — State Rep. Tarren Bragdon, R-Bangor, has been cho- sen to represent the Maine State Legislature in the American Legislative Exchange Council’s States & National Policy Summit to be held Dec. 3 through 6 in Washington, D.C.

Bragdon will join other lawmakers from across the United States for two days of discussion about issues facing the states and nation. Topics include electric power deregulation, telecommunications, tort reform, health care reform, workers’ compensation, and education on the federal budget.

“The issues are timely, and I expect to learn a great deal during the bipartisan discussions with legislators from other states,” Bragdon said.

The council is composed of 3,000 state legislators and 300 private member companies and foundations all working to develop policies to expand markets, promote federalism, limit government and ensure individual liberty.
