It was Christmas morning, our kids had just finished unwrapping their gifts. We were setting up their new games and toys. We had the radio turned into a station (WEZQ 92.9 FM) that was playing just Christmas music. It was very nice because it meant that we didn’t have to keep changing our own tapes and CD’s. Sitting there listening to this beautiful music, enjoying the snow falling outside and really getting into the Christmas spirit when all of a sudden the news comes on: “The Farmingdale mother accused of … her 4-year-old child.” Need I go on?

Needless to say, I rushed to turn off the radio. How dare you ruin the spirit of Christmas with this type of news? That was definitely poor taste!

To all radio stations and television stations, if you can’t report good news on Christmas day, then don’t report any at all! I’m sure there are many people who feel the same.
