Alley leads Royals to victory> Jonesport-Beals rallies past Bangor Christian in fourth quarter

BANGOR – Brian Alley scored 18 of his game-high 24 points in the second half to lead the Jonesport-Beals Royals to a 78-71 schoolboy basketball win over the Bangor Christian Patriots at the Bangor Auditorium Friday night.

The Royals outscored the Patriots 17-8 over the game’s final 3 1/2 minutes to rally for the win.

Alley had 10 third-quarter points and eight more in the fourth quarter as the Royals erased a 35-33 halftime deficit.

Josh Knowlton had 20 points for the winners and James Robinson had 13.

Craig Simmons’ 21 points, Mark Reitsma’s 13 and Justin McKenna’s 11 points led Bangor Christian.
