Whenever this state needed more funds, where did it go? To the people, by increasing taxes. Now we have a surplus. So why isn’t the surplus going to the taxpayers?
Forget about wasting time and money by reducing taxes. You might be surprised with another surplus next year. More money returned to the taxpayers. More money put into the economy.
After a few years of watching what happens, then address reducing taxes. Of course, one has to wonder if the complex minds in Augusta can come to grips with a common-sense plan. Robert Beaulieu Mapleton
