CARRABASSETT VALLEY – Sugarloaf USA will hold a canned food drive on Monday, Jan. 19 to help local emergency shelters with their dwindling food supplies. Skiers and riders who bring in two cans of food to the resort on Monday will recieve $10 off the full-day price of a weekday lift ticket. All proceeds will be donated to the Strong United Methodist Economic Ministry, which will disperse the goods throughout the region.

Those wanting to contribute monetary goods or other items may do so at Sugarloaf, or contact the United Valley Chapter of the Red Cross at 626-3446 or 795-4004. Donations may also be mailed to the United Valley Chapter, P.O. Box 439, Auburn, ME 04212-0439. Donations made outside of the Sugarloaf drive should include Disaster Relief Fund, #DR542.
