Self-help tax instruction planned Feb. 7 in Orland

ORLAND — A free self-help tax class will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 7, at the H.O.M.E. Learning Center second-floor classroom, located at Route 1 and Upper Falls Road. Participants should bring tax forms, tax records and a copy of last year’s tax return.

Two instructors will be available for individual help. This volunteer assistance program is administered through the American Association of Retired Persons Foundation in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service.

Free tax assistance is also available by appointment for middle- and low-income taxpayers on Wednesdays at the H.O.M.E. Learning Center. Call 469-7961 for an appointment.
