The referendum question being put to voters on Tuesday, Feb. 10 reads:

“Do you want to reject the law passed by the Legislature and signed by the governor that would ban discrimination based on sexual orientation with respect to jobs, housing, public accommodations and credit?”

A yes vote stops the gay rights legislation from becoming law.

A no vote allows the law to take effect 30 days after the election results are declared official.

A YES VOTE opposes gay rights.

A NO VOTE favors gay rights.
