NEWPORT – Allison Wing nailed a 3-pointer and hit five free throws in the second overtime to give the Brewer Witches a 44-39 schoolgirl basketball victory over the Nokomis Warriors Thursday night.

Wing finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and four steals for the winners. Leslie Trott chipped in with 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds and Liz Boone had 12 rebounds.

Laura Pelkey paced the Warriors with 10 points and Tanya Cray added eight points and had 11 rebounds.

Bangor goalies Jason Tuck and Nick Beaulieu saved all six shots they faced. Scott Walker made 41 saves on 51 shots for Brunswick.
