HAMPDEN — The SAD 22 board of directors on Wednesday night voted to add seven days to the 1997-1998 school calendar to make up classroom time lost because of last month’s ice storm.

“Hopefully, we will miss no more,” SAD 22 Superintendent Richard Lyons said Thursday.

One Saturday was added to the calendar, along with two Fridays — one originally scheduled as a professional development in-service day and the other as a parent-teacher conference day. Four days were added to the end of the school year, which had been scheduled to finish June 15.

The extra days are scheduled as follows:

Friday, March 20

Saturday, April 4

Friday, May 15

Tuesday through Friday, June 16-19
