WATERVILLE – Husson pitchers held Thomas College to only five hits in two games and posted a doubleheader sweep in college softball action Thursday.
In the first game, Husson capitalized on four errors and three walks to score six runs and pick up the 9-0 victory.
Kelly Dow tossed a four-hit shutout, striking out two and walking none for Husson. Jenn Russ had two singles and Angie Brawn doubled.
In the second game, Sami Hibbard held the Terriers to one hit over seven innings lifting Husson to a 3-0 win.
Hibbard struck out four and walked none for the Braves. Kelly Dow drove in two runs with a triple and single.
Sarah Currier singled for Thomas.

At Standish, the St. Joe’s Monks pounded out 15 hits as they downed Thomas College.
Tim Remington, Royce Watson, Joe Holland, Steve Osborne and Aaron Vachon had two hits each for St. Joe’s. Ben Gosselin went five innings, allowing only three hits and walking none.
John Cronkite singled and doubled for Thomas.
