SOUTH PORTLAND — A young gunman robbed two banks back-to-back Wednesday, with the second holdup occurring while police were investigating the first. There were no injuries or shots fired in either robbery, and police would not specify how much money was taken.

SOUTH PORTLAND — A young gunman robbed two banks back-to-back Wednesday, with the second holdup occurring while police were investigating the first.

There were no injuries or shots fired in either robbery, and police would not specify how much money was taken.

The robberies occurred at the KeyBank in the Mill Creek shopping plaza and the Fleet Bank across the street.

Police later released a composite sketch of the suspect based on a photograph taken by a security camera.
