ASHLAND – Aaron Bennett laid down a suicide squeeze bunt with one out in the bottom of the seventh to score Lee Durnell from third and give Ashland an 11-10 baseball victory over Katahdin of Sherman Station.

Durnell had three singles and three RBIs, Darren Belskis added three singles, Ethan Perry added two singles and two RBIs, and Allen McCausland had three singles and an RBI.

Charles Robinson struck out 14 in 6 1/3 innings of five-hit ball, but Belskis, who pitched 1 2/3 innings of relief, earned the win.

Richard Schmidt, who led Katahdin with two doubles, a single and three RBIs, roped a three-run double in the sixth to fuel the Cougars’ seven-run rally. Travis Gould added a triple, single and two RBIs.

At Houlton, Jon Pottle knocked in the winning run on an RBI single with two outs in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Ryan Bernard added two singles and a triple for the winners.

Jamie Shanahan and Aaron Wyman each singled and doubled for Caribou. Dan Umphrey singled twice.

At East Sullivan, Mike Fergerson led the Raiders of East Machias with a home run, a single and two RBIs.

Jeff Look added a single, double and two RBIs and Glen Wood scored three times behind winner Brandon Ashby.

Travis Bickford had a double for Sumner while Ben Huber singled and drove in two runs.

At Harrington, Mike Worcester drove in three runs on two first-inning homers to lead Narraguagus in a game shortened to five innings by the 10-run rule.

Joe Haskell added a single, double and an RBI for the Knights.

John Buck had two singles and drove in Machias’ lone run.

At Camden, Mike MacDonald pitched the Windjammers to victory limiting the Eagles to three hits over six innings while striking out nine and walking one.

Joah Peck went 4-for-4, including a two-run homer in the second inning, and finished with four RBIs. Jay Seymour added two singles and an RBI. Jon Moro singled and doubled and Horty Kessler singled twice.

Shawn Vigue, Mitch Donar and Chad Parenteau each singled for Erskine.

The game was shortened to six innings due to the mercy rule.

At Hampden, Paul Trask’s two-out single drove in Justin Groshon from second to give Hampden the win.

Jason Littlefield led the Broncos with two singles and Matt Gilbert earned the win striking out 12 and giving up six hits and two earned runs.

Nokomis’ Jarrid Otis blasted two home runs and drove in three runs.

At Blue Hill, Josh Sadlier pitched six innings of one-hit ball striking out eight and walking one for George Stevens.

Jesse Wessel ended the game in the bottom of the sixth inning with a two-run single that invoked the 10-run rule. Casey Ryan added two singles and an RBI and Toby Cole singled, doubled and drove in a run.

Hermon’s Eric Reynolds broke up the no-hitter with a two-out single in the fourth inning.

At Bangor, Stephanie Regan no-hit the Tigers of Eastport in a five-inning game shortened by the 12-run rule. Regan struck out 10 and walked two.

Heidi Niles singled and doubled and drove in two runs for the Patriots. Rachel Sobey knocked RBI singles in the second and third innings as Bangor Christian scored 11 in the two frames. Regan added a single and an RBI double.

Natalie Smith took the loss for Shead of Eastport.

At Harrington, Laura Morse pitched a stellar game for the Knights, allowing four hits in the five-inning shortened game while striking out 12 and walking none.

April Wallace led the Narraguagus hit parade with three singles, a double and four RBIs. Morse and Emily Froese each collected three singles with three and two RBIs, respectively. Melissa Hurlbert knocked a single and double and drove in three runs. Lindsay Portrie added two singles and two RBIs.

Shirley Moe, Carolyn Luce, Abby Crockett and Melissa Smith each singled for Machias.

Bissonnette stroked a two-run single in Houlton’s four-run second inning and Berry rapped a two-run triple to spark a three-run fourth.

Billie Jo Martin led Caribou with a double, two singles and an RBI. Tiffany Nason and Mariah Keenan each singled twice.

Jessica Long drove in the lone run for Central Aroostook of Mars Hill on a single in the second inning. Lacey Bell singled twice.

Amy Stevens hit a two-run homer and two singles. Danielle Martin drove in four runs on a triple and a single. Reliever Amy Stevens fanned 10 hitters, walked one and allowed two hits in four innings.

Sharon Dow, Diana Bourdeau, Wanda Akoa, Miranda Ferguson and Erica Dennison each hit a single for WA.
