Sandra Hare, R.N., of Carmel has joined the staff at North Country Associates of Lewiston, a skilled rehabilitation and long-term health care company, as a clinical liaison. Hare received her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Husson College in Bangor. She is enrolled in the master’s program in business at Husson College. Hare will serve Down East and the Bangor region. She will work at the Courtland Rehabilitation and Living Center in Ellsworth and Sonogee Estates rehabilitation and living center in Bar Harbor. She also will coordinate admissions to North Country’s remaining 12 homes in Maine and Massachusetts.
Kevin Plourde of Caribou has been promoted to vice president and credit administrator for Katahdin Trust Co. in Presque Isle. Plourde will be responsible for commercial lending policy and training, portfolio risk management and credit analysis. Before joining Katahdin Trust Co., he was employed with KeyBank for eight years, serving in a variety of positions including assistant manager, manager and commercial loan officer. The Caribou High School graduate has taken a variety of courses through the American Institute of Banking.
Ryan Ellsworth has been promoted to commercial loan officer for Katahdin Trust Co. in Caribou. Ellsworth will be responsible for business lending and development in the Caribou and Presque Isle area. Before joining Katahdin Trust Co., he was employed as a credit analyst with Seafax in Portland. Ellsworth earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine in Orono and attended the northern New England School of Banking in Durham, N.H.
David A. Sayers has been appointed vice president of retail banking at Katahdin Trust Co., based in Patten. His responsibilities will include management of sales and customer service for the bank’s seven locations in northern Maine and overall responsibility for the bank’s consumer lending programs. Sayers earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from Thomas College and is currently enrolled in the National School of Banking, Center for Financial Studies.
Mary-Elsa James has joined the staff at the Donald S. Walker Health Center in Liberty as a family nurse practitioner. James earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a certified nurse practitioner in both occupational health and family practice. James also will spend two days a week at Coastal Medical Care in Belfast as an occupational health nurse.
