Making a difference

On May 9 we had another successful food drive thanks to the postal carriers and the Greater Bangor community. We would like to give public recognition to the postal carriers and their “make a difference” attitude. Sometimes I do not think people realize what a difference they can make when they come together on one day and support those in need.

I can tell you first hand that last year your support helped us serve 35,000 meals, and also helped us give out food bags to 110 households a month. The postal carriers and the community continue to embrace this agency year after year.

Through your support we are able to continue a wholistic community-based approach that can and will offer solutions to the dual problems of poverty and homelessness. Michael Andrick Program manager and the staff of The Bangor Area Homeless Shelter
