It is hilarious to read in the May 20 Bangor Daily News on page B1 that Angus King and Chuck Gadzik will be honoring Camden and nine other Maine communities for their tree preservation and conservation efforts, during 1998’s Arbor Week.
If trees could only laugh, I don’t think our governor and Forest Service director would be able to be heard down at the celebration in the Arboretum.
The noise from the Maine woods reaching Augusta would clearly cut them off. Bobbie Lehigh Eastport
