The Legion of Honor, highest award from the Catholic Order of Foresters, was presented to three members from northern Maine — Lillian Michaud of Caribou, Mildred Pelletier of Eagle Lake and Jim Gagnon of Wallagrass — at the 100th anniversary celebration of the order’s Maine State Court held recently in Augusta. —-

Suzann M. Lawlor of Oakfield has received a master’s degree in library science from Clarion University in Clarion, Pa., during spring commencement ceremonies May 16 in Tippin Gymnasium. A total of 566 degrees were awarded, including 42 master’s degrees. —-

Dina McKelvy of Presque Isle received a master’s degree in library science in December from Indiana University.
