Does it make sense to anyone why the governor — proponent of economic development of the nether regions off the I-95 corridor — would choose a McDonald’s restaurant in Portland over, say, Ellsworth or Machias or somewhere near Maine blueberry country, to launch the “Great ’98 Maine (and New Brunswick) Blueberry Campaign”?
Oh wait! It’s all becoming clear to me now. Portland must be the blueberry capital of the other Maine. Michael P. Gleason Bangor
