ELLSWORTH – Toby Cole cranked a two-run triple and Josh Sadlier slammed a two-run double to lift the Trenton Acadians to a 7-4 American Legion baseball victory over the Skowhegan Log Drivers Monday.

Mike Cowperthwaite earned the win for the Acadians to up his record to 2-0. Adam Meyer hit a solo homer and Mike Sirois singled and doubled.

Jake Burnham hit a two-run double for Skowhegan and Jesse Lecasse singled twice.

Waldo County 14, Hermon 9

At Belfast, Nate Hall hit a grand slam in the seven-run fourth inning as Waldo County cruised.

Hall also doubled in the game and Gary Gale hit a three-run homer, doubled and singled in the winning effort.

Ryan White led Hermon with two singles and a double. Matt Cox and Billy Kane each singled and doubled.
