ORRINGTON – The Orrington All-Stars captured the gold medal in the Orrington Recreational Softball Tourney over the weekend with a 23-4 title win over Pittsfield.

Nikki Smith turned in a solid offensive and pitching effort to aid Orrington and was named the tourney MVP.

The Brewer PAL team finished third in the tourney with a 14-8 win over Howland.

The tourney was for players ages 12 and under. Howland received the sportsmanship award.
