Auditorium blahs

I rcently ushered at the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert at the Bangor Auditortium. Before the city spends anymore money on other projects, it should seriously consider doing something about that place.

It was impractical when it was built and hasn’t improved. There is no air conditioning, no cross ventilation and most of the fans don’t work, or so I was told. They weren’t on the right side, anyway.

Bangor should check out the Augusta Civic Center. There is easy access to all levels via the cat walk, color-coded sections and good ventilation. If the city wants to attract business to the auditorium, it should make it comfortable for the people. Deborah L. Wiley Bangor
