Ilvonen sets Winterport Dragway mark

WINTERPORT – Uno Ilvonen of Owls Head broke his own Winterport Dragway track record three times on Sunday. On July 26, he set a new record of 155.70 miles per hour with an elapsed time of 4.649. This week his first pass was clocked at 155.16 miles per hour with an elapsed time of 4.583. His second pass had an elapsed time of 4.570 with a clocked speed of 158.44 miles per hour. His final pass set the new record with a time of 4.531 and a speed of 157.89 miles per hour.
