LEWISTON — Maine high school rock bands of all types and experience are invited to participate in the 15th annual Rock-Off competition by Reindeer Records, an independent label in Portland.

Rock-Off 15 producer Louis Philippe is looking for fresh musical talent from high school bands. Each band is evaluated by panels of judges from the music industry based on originality, live showcase performance and marketability, Philippe said.

Live showcases will be held in October in Lewiston, with five semifinalists to perform Nov. 29 for the title of Best Young Band in Maine and a cash prize of $1,000.

Registration deadline is Sept. 25. For information or registration, contact ReindeerHQ@aol.com, or call Reindeer’s Portland office at 874-9002.
