The Baldwin Boat Company in Orrington is sponsoring the 15th annual Ebb-Tide Marathon Canoe and Kayak Race will be held at 12 p.m. today in Brewer.

The 10-mile flatwoater course winds along a stretch of the Penobscot River that won’t offer any portages.

The start is at the Penobscot County Conservation Association in Brewer off North Maine Street. The finish is at the state boat landing in South Orrington off old Route 15.

All racers must wear Coast Guard approved over-the-shoulder life jackets that are properly secured throughout the race.
