AUGUSTA – Special restrictions apply to the hunting of black ducks this season.

Black duck season is separate from the regular duck hunting season, with different opening date and bag limits imposed. The daily bag limit is one black duck and possession limit of two. These limits are included in the regular limits of four ducks daily and eight in possession.

The 1998 black duck seasons are as follows: north zone from Saturday, Oct. 10 through Saturday Nov. 28; south zone from Saturday, Oct. 10 through Saturday Oct. 17 and from Monday, Nov. 9 through Saturday, Dec. 19.
