LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Jodi Dyer scored on a diagonal pass from Vicky Cyr with 17:23 left in the game to propel the University of Maine-Farmington to a 1-0 women’s soccer win over Lyndon State Thursday.
Pam Goyette turned away all nine shots she faced for the 5-1-1 Beavers as they turned in their fourth shutout in seven games.
Holly Newman made 15 saves on 16 shots for Lyndon State.

At Farmington, Chris Hink scored in the first half on assist from Sam An Dy to lift the University of Maine-Farmington to victory.
Nick Moulton and Chris Roy combined to make eight saves on 12 shots for the 4-1-1 Beavers.
Shane Hubbard made five saves on 14 shots for Lyndon State.
Colby 4, Southern Maine 2
At Gorham, Ross McEwen scored twice and Matt Williams added a goal as Colby jumped to a three goal lead after 11 minutes of play.
Even Reece had a goal and Justin Amirault made three saves for 2-3 Colby.
Steve Griatzky and Marc Herrick each netted a goal and Corey Fleming made six saves for 4-4 Southern Maine.
Field hockey
Colby 2, St. Joseph’s 1
At Windham, Robynne DeCaprio and Becca Bruce each scored a first half goal to lead Colby.
Jane Stevens made five saves on 10 shots for 4-2 Colby.
Jen Small scored a goal and Laura Lombardi made 16 saves on 45 shots for St. Joseph’s.
