ORONO – Basketball fans will get their first competitive look at the University of Maine women’s and men’s squads tonight as the teams hold their annual Blue-White scrimmages at Alfond Arena.

Coach Joanne Palombo-McCallie’s women kick off the event at 6:30 p.m., then the John Giannini-led men’s squad takes center stage at 8.

The men’s game will give area fans what is expected to be their only chance to see Bangor native Tommy Waterman play this season. Waterman, a freshman guard, will likely redshirt the season and begin play next fall. Also playing in the Blue-White game will be Temple University transfer Julian Dunkley, who must sit out a year due to NCAA rules.

General admission tickets are $2.
