My hat is off to Newt Gingrich for his excellent judgment in resigning as speaker of the House. That took courage and was the act of a big man.

Newt’s two top priorities were what was best for his country and-or the Repulican Party. No one will ever hear that said about Bill Clinton.

Clinton’s top priority is — always has been, always will be. The Democratic Party has been in a state of chaos and disruption since Clinton become its titular head. All his country means to him is the power and prestige being president affords him while he tarnished it with his corrupt behavior.

He has disgraced himself, his daughter, his party, the Oval Office and the entire nation and proceeds smilingly on his way. He is a brazen liar with the morals of a back alley tom cat. It will be a sorry day for America and its ethical standards if he is allowed to remain in office until his term expires. Ethel D. Brown Bangor
