CASTINE – Scott Colby led five Maine Maritime Academy players in double figures with 21 points Monday night as the Mariners downed Thomas College of Waterville 103-93.

Matt Ketchen tossed in 18 points, including four 3-pointers, for the Mariners. Corey Streams and Josh Plamondon each scored 14 points and Ken Buttery added 13.

For the Terriers, Scott Raymond led all scorers with 27 points. Ryan Cilley added 17 points and Pat Griffin notched 13. Matt Pitcher and A.J. Cloukey scored 11 points each.

At Castine, Rachel Merrill hit 7 of 8 free throw attempts down the stretch to seal Maine Maritime Academy’s win over Thomas College.

Vanessa LeBlond finished with a team-high 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Mariners. Merrill recorded 14 points, five assists and four steals.

For Thomas of Waterville, Karin Parsons led the way with 18 points.
