True sports enthusiasts have heard all he horror stories about networks dumping out of televised games at the most inopportune times.
It happened Saturday afternoon locally when Frontier Vision pulled the plug on the Fox broadcast of the Washington vs. Tampa Bay football contest with but nine and a half minutes to play.
Like myself, I expect many viewers were outraged to have the game disappear from view on Channel 4 (WPIX 51). True, it wasn’t a monumental game, but, it was better than the “Barker” channel that appeared in its place.
I attempted to relay my dismay Monday morning to their offices, but their lines were overloaded by, what I expect, were other complaints. Nice going, Frontier Vision. Jack Gifford Bangor
