This letter is in response to the Dec. 24 letter, “Where was Michaud?” I can assume Sen. Mike Michaud was in Augusta looking out for his constituents.

Michaud stands up for and speaks up for the constituents he represents, whether Republican or Democrat. Things in this area can change in a short time. What does Hanson want? Michaud will do what is best for the 1,200 employees of the Millinocket mills and if there is heat to be taken he will shoulder that, but whatever is best for his constituents will have to be done. The comment was made that there may not be enough people to elect him in two years.

Sen. Michaud’s constituents in the Houlton area will send him back to Augusta because he is a man of his word and represents his constituents 100 percent. Keep up the good word, Mike. Dana Graham Houlton
