HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Northwood University scored seven runs in the top of the eighth inning to defeat the University of Maine Black Bears 10-8 in baseball action Monday.

It was Maine’s first loss after two victories.

John Gresehouer doubled twice and homered to drive in three runs for the Seahawks, now 1-2. John Beebe ripped two singles and a double. Joe Fisher struck out five in 3 2/3 innings of relief for the win.

For the 2-1 Black Bears, Keith Genest blasted a grand slam in the sixth inning. John Hambelton had a double and two singles and two RBIs. Brian Poire added two doubles.
