NEW YORK – Forward Roger Levesque of Falmouth and center midfielder Bryn Carlson of Deering High School in Portland, have been named Gatorade Circle of Champions Players of the Year for Maine in the soccer category.

Levesque, who also won the award last year, was one of 45 boys soccer players to win the award, representing 44 states and Washington, D.C. Carlson was one of 49 girls to win the award nationally.

They are now eligible for regional and national Player of the Year honors, which will be presented next week. In order to be eligible for the awards, students must excel on the field as well as in the classroom.
