College LEIGH ANN HLYWAK
BOSTON – University of Maine freshman Leigh Ann Hlywak has been named the America East Conference softball rookie of the week. The Wilmington, Del., native has set a school single season record by hitting six home runs in 22 games. Hlywak is batting .443, has a .820 slugging percentage and is second on the team with 23 runs batted in.
MIKE ROSS
BOSTON – University of Maine freshman Mike Ross is the America East Conference baseball rookie of the week. The Foxboro, Mass., native is among the America East leaders in several categories. The outfielder is 15th in the conference in batting with an average of .359. He leads the conference in runs scored with 26 and runs batted in with 28. Ross is tied for the league lead in doubles with eight and total bases with 51. His five home runs rank him second in the league.

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Plymouth State junior and Dexter native Lynn Hersey has been named to the New Hampshire Division III Coaches Association All Academic Team.
