WATERVILLE – Colby College’s Lucas Adams and Jon Zarecki already knew they were going to the NCAA Division III track and field championship. A third member of the White Mules’ track and field team qualified Tuesday.

Jamie Brewster also qualified for the event during the Colby Early Bird Field Event Classic when he won the hammer toss with a throw of 188 feet, 1 inch.

Adams who had previously qualified for the nationals in the discus also qualified in the hammer toss after a throw on Tuesday of 183-4.

Zarecki, third in the hammer toss behind his teammates Tuesday, had already qualified for the nationals in that event.
