FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington softball team exploded for 54 runs in just eight innings over two games as the University of Maine-Farmington swept the University of Maine-Presque Isle. Farmington took the first game 28-4 and came back with a 26-0 win in game two.

FARMINGTON – The University of Maine at Farmington softball team exploded for 54 runs in just eight innings over two games as the University of Maine-Farmington swept the University of Maine-Presque Isle. Farmington took the first game 28-4 and came back with a 26-0 win in game two.

Crystal Hulit was the winning pitcher in both games, allowing a combined 11 hits. She also smacked a two-run home run in the first game. Heather Marden ripped two doubles in the twinbill.

Bowdoin 8, Colby 3

At Brunswick, Seth Kolodziejski tossed a complete game, allowing no runs after the fourth inning and leading Bowdoin to its third straight win.

The Polar Bears strung together three straight doubles to tie the game in the sixth inning. John Paquet doubled and singled.

John Lord singled and homered to lead the Mules.
