ROCKPORT — A U.S. Power Squadron boating course will be offered beginning at 7 p.m. June 15 at the Rockport Boat Club. The basic course is for six weeks, with a two-hour session each Thursday night.
Lessons include boat handling under normal and adverse conditions, chart work, safety precautions, use of the compass, seamanship, aids to navigation such as buoys and lights, inland boating and trailering, and rules for avoiding collisions.
