Balanced Bucksport rolls past Orono> Searsport, DI-S, Hermon, Lee post wins

ORONO – Five Bucksport players had at least two hits as the Golden Bucks remained undefeated with a 9-3 schoolboy baseball victory over the Orono Red Riots Monday.

Craig Harvey paced the Golden Bucks with three doubles and three runs scored. Peter Saunders added three singles and three RBIs. Jason Harvey ripped a single and double while Chad Gilley and Nick Raymond had two singles each.

Morgan Stinson lined three singles for the Red Riots. Brad Nadeau hit two doubles and drove in a run. Pat Skall doubled and contributed two RBIs.

At Searsport, Rod Damon hit a three-run home run and Nate Hall had a solo homer for two of the Vikings’ five home runs in the game.

Aaron Tripp hit a two-run homer and Hall added another solo shot in the fifth inning. Ben Relyea also drove in two on a home run and singled for Searsport.

Tim Shea and Derek Smith each hit a three-run homer and a single for the Pirates of Guilford. Shane Overlock and Buddy Leavitt smacked solo home runs.

At Dexter, Jason Weed ripped a triple and a single and knocked in three runs to pace the Mariners.

Justin Boyce added a double and a single and had two RBIs for Deer Isle-Stonington while Andy Bye and Eric Haskell contributed two singles and an RBI each. Doug Bates doubled and had two RBIs.

Brock Kimball singled and doubled for the Tigers. Chris Wyman singled twice and Matt Foster smacked a solo homer.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Matt Cox drilled a double in the fifth inning, driving in the winning run as Hermon upended Foxcroft Academy.

Mike Dube went 3-for-3 for the Hawks, with two doubles and a single hitting from the eighth spot in the order. Ryan Garland pitched a five-hitter and struck out seven.

Justin Clawson ripped a pair of singles and drove in a run for the Ponies. Kyle Wentworth tossed an eight-hitter and added a double.

At Lee, Josh Crocker hit a three-run homer and an RBI single to pace the Lee Academy Pandas to the win.

Alex Nicholas drove in four runs with a single and a sacrifice fly for the Pandas. Erik Worster launched a two-run homer and an RBI single. Matt Corbin ripped three singles and a triple and Chris Carr added three singles.

Fred Weymouth notched three singles to pace the Howlers of Howland. Matt Dobson drilled a single and double while Brad Thibodeau added two singles and two RBIs.

At Husson College in Bangor, Darrin Daniels spun a four-hitter, striking out nine and walking five, as the Minutemen won their 11th game.

Daniels also doubled, singled and drove in a run for Stearns of Millinocket. Rob Donato singled twice and had two RBIs, while Aaron Civiello and Matt Montgomery hit two singles each.

Nate Susi singled twice for the Crusaders.

At Sherman Station, John Crocker fired a four-hitter, recording 14 ground-ball outs and five strikeouts, as Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln defeated Katahdin.

B.J. Birtz ripped two singles and a double to drive in four runs for the Lynx. Jared Tash added four singles and an RBI. Travis Proctor lined a two-run double and Zac Reed laced two singles.

Bryan Duffy and Josh Roy had an RBI single apiece.

At Searsport, Jessie Barton drove in four runs on two doubles to lead the Vikings.

Holli Gracie added two RBIs with two singles and a double for Searsport. Laura Holweger had three singles.

For the Pirates of Guilford, Stephanie Wentworth drove in two runs on a double. Garnet Korsman had three singles, and Nicole Goulette added two hits.

At Hallowell, the Bulldogs scored four unearned runs in the bottom of the sixth inning as the result of four errors as Hall-Dale knocked off Georges Valley of Thomaston.

Georgia Howe spun a six-hitter and struck out 14 for Hall-Dale.

Kelly Ausplund doubled and tripled for the Buccaneers. Debbie Knutson and Nichole Barlow each had an RBI single.

At Dexter, Abby Gross drove in four runs on three hits and pitcher Amanda Douglas allowed only two hits as the Mariners beat Dexter in six innings.

At Wiscasset, Jen Caron’s squeeze bunt in the bottom of the second inning brought home the winning run as Wiscasset edged Belfast.

Sarah Sabeyler singled twice and drove in a run for the Redskins. Jay Gray singled twice and scored a run.

Kelsey Bryant and Sara McIntire had one double apiece for the Lions. Jess Aldus lined an RBI single in the first inning.

At Orono, Annette Caswell’s two-out single to left field in the sixth inning scored the tying and go-ahead runs to help the Golden Bucks come from behind for the win.

Caswell and Jana Richards each had three singles and two RBIs. Leah Page had a double and single for one RBI.

Asheley Simpson singled twice and Jessica Libby hit a two-run double for Orono.

At Husson College in Bangor, Shannon Sirois notched a complete-game victory and led Stearns of Millinocket’s offense with a triple, three singles, and four RBIs.

Jennifer Saucier had a double, single, and two RBIs for the Minutemen and the Minutemen scored eight in the seventh to retake the lead.

Kristi Millard led the Crusader with three singles and two RBIs. Laura Roach had two doubles, a single and four RBIs.

At Sherman Station, Brandi Rideout hit a two-run home run in the second inning to help send the Lynx past the Cougars.

Mattanawcook of Lincoln’s Kari Vance pitched a one-hitter, struck out seven, and walked four for the win. Allison McLaughlin hit three singles and Tracie Pickering added a double and a single.

Katahdin’s Kim Mann led off the fourth with a single to break up the no-hitter.

For Penobscot Valley of Howland, Carrie Braley hit two doubles and drove in two, and Rachel Dawson added two singles.

At Dover-Foxcroft, Lindsay Duplisea hit a two-run triple in the second inning and added a single to power the Hawks.

Hermon’s Jodi Reynolds hit three singles and a double for three RBIs. Brianna Bruce hit an RBI double and two singles and Amy Porter singled twice.

Ashlee Dow led Foxcroft with two singles and two RBIs and Katie White singled and doubled to drive in one run. Sherrie Zimmerman and Kristi Smith each hit two singles and recorded an RBI.
