Outlook: The Bears are out to avenge the Tigers’ four-game regular-season sweep in Orono earlier this season in what is the most important game for a UMaine team in two years. Neither team qualified for the tournament last season. The Bears began to heat up with the bats against Vermont last weekend, with Poire leading the way, but the Tigers are hitting .308 as a team. Defense could be the difference, as Towson leads America East with a .967 fielding percentage. Maine committed nine errors last weekend. Towson’s Agoglia is the league’s No. 2 hitter after going an incredible 16-for-19 (.842) with 10 RBIs in five games last week. Poire, an all-league pick, has been Maine’s offensive catalyst, with Bracali and DH Keith Genest also swinging hot bats of late.
