BANGOR — A free informational forum, “Mental Health Care for the Elderly,” will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 20, in the Old Auditorium at the Bangor Mental Health Institute.

Representatives of BMHI, the Northeast Quality Improvement Council’s education committee, and the Maine Department of Mental Health, Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse will address issues of mental illness and the elderly; are nursing homes prepared: safety nets for the elderly and special needs for the elderly. To reach the Old Auditorium, use the main BMHI entrance and follow signs.
