ASHLAND – Darren Belskis hit a bases-loaded single in the fifth inning to knock in two runs and lift the Ashland baseball team to a 9-8 victory over Wisdom of St. Agatha Monday in high school action.
Belskis also struck out 10, walked three and contributed one more RBI. Adam McNally finished with two singles and two RBIs and Randall Perry singled twice and drove in a run. Lee Durrell and Lee Bennett each hit two singles.
Josh Roy paced the Pioneers with a three-run triple in the fourth. Noah Michaud drove in three RBIs on three singles.

At Dyer Brook, Chris Webb fired a two-hitter, striking out 18 and walking two, and Nick Hersey had a pair of run-scoring doubles to pace Southern Aroostook.
Hersey and Sam Michaud had RBI doubles in the first inning and Webb singled three times and drove in a run. Michaud added another double for the Warriors.
Ben Arato’s fifth-inning single and Mike Andrews’ seventh-inning single were the Tigers’ only hits. Brandon Traknis struck out 11.

At Machias, four hitters drove in multiple runs as the Bulldogs pounded Lubec.
Andy Rafford drove in three runs with two singles for Machias. Kevin Loughlin, Scott Guptill each drove in two runs on a double and a single and Peter Whitney had two singles and two RBIs.
Matt Moores doubled and drove in three runs for the Hornets.

At Calais, Katie Frost pitched a one-hitter and helped her own cause with a double, two singles and two RBIs to lead the Blue Devils.
Steph Demmers added two singles and an RBI. Marion Francis had a double, single and an RBI and Tricia Farrell doubled and singled and added two RBIs.
Shauna Neptune singled for the Tigerettes of Eastport.

At Hodgdon, Danielle Hagerman hit a home run, a double, and a single for five RBIs as the Shiretowners rolled.
Sara Beasley and Erica McGary of Houlton added three RBIs each, and Elissa Skehan drove in two runs on a double and a single.
For Hodgdon, Sara Oliver had two RBIs on two singles. Danielle Fitzpatrick hit a solo home run.
