William Robertson III’s letter of June 17 makes interesting reading. He says the war in Kosovo was a “civil war and we should have stayed out of it.” Using this logic, I guess it would have been OK with him if Hitler had only murdered the Jews in Germany. Then it would have been an internal affair and none of anybody’s business.
He also states, “… when I was in the service and the wars and when they ended, the fighting men went home. They didn’t hang around afterward to mop up.” I seem to remember that we had troops stationed in Germany for quite a while after World War II. And the last time I looked, they were still stationed in South Korea. Karen E. McDade Ellsworth
