SACRAMENTO, Calif. – She’s not yet at full speed, but Cindy Blodgett has made a return from the sprained ankle she suffered more than three weeks ago.
The Sacramento Monarchs guard suited up for Saturday’s game against Orlando but did not play in the 73-64 loss. Monarchs’ media assistant Mindy Mangels said Blodgett participated in Tuesday’s shoot-around and will dress for Tuesday night’s game against Minnesota but is not expected to play.
Blodgett suffered a second-degree sprain to her right ankle July 5 in the final minute of a game against the New York Liberty. The Clinton native returned to practice last week but still had some pain as of July 22.
The Monarchs were scheduled to play the Lynx at 10 p.m.
