New child care program to be offered in Bangor

BANGOR — The Child Development Department of Penquis CAP announced recently a new full-day child care program with extended hours beginning in early September. A variety of child care options will be offered to families at the new Child Development Facility on Davis Road.

The center will provide full day child care available from 6:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This program is for parents who are working or going to school and are in need of a full day of child care. A sliding fee scale is obtainable.

Families who are income-eligible will have the opportunity to take advantage of the Head Start-Child Care Wraparound Program. This program enables children to enjoy the benefits of the Head Start program and receive full day care. Comprehensive Head Start services encompass medical, dental and other related services.
